Russia to prolong payments to medics treating COVID for 2022

MOSCOW, Dec 14 (PRIME) -- The Russian government plans to prolong payments to the medical personnel working with COVID-19 to 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said on Tuesday.

"The norms regulating provision of the insurance and special social payments to the categories of healthcare and social workers employed in fighting COVID will be prolonged to 2022," Golikova said.

Healthcare providers will receive 51 billion rubles more until the end of 2021, the official said, adding that payments to the hospitals on COVID admissions amounted to 89 billion rubles.
